The highly anticipated romantic comedy anime, Bad Girl, has officially made its debut this July, delivering a fresh and funny take on high school love to eager fans. The adaptation of Nikumaru's popular 4-panel manga has premiered, and a new trailer gives a glimpse into the chaotic charm of the series.
What's It About?
At the heart of the story is Yu Yutani, a seemingly rebellious high school girl with a rough attitude who is secretly a good-natured student. She unexpectedly falls for Atori Mizutori — the serious and disciplined head of the school’s morality committee. Their unlikely connection begins to form through awkward encounters and funny misunderstandings as Yu tries to act like a delinquent to get Atori's attention.
Set in a typical Japanese high school, this anime flips the usual “delinquent” trope by showing Yu, an honor student, constantly flustered and stumbling in her attempts to be a "bad girl." With its light tone and rapid-fire comedy, the show offers a refreshing take on high school romance.
